The Object Transfer Libary and its integration into Microsoft Remote Scripting was developed for use in an internal web application for AT&T's Corporate Finance area. The application is much more like a client/server application thanks to the DHTML abilities of IE 4+ and Remote Scripting.
Integrating the Object Transfer Libary into Remote Scripting makes it possible to pass real JavaScript objects from the client to the server. It also provides a richer error-handling paradigm for returning errors from the server to the client (using JavaScript throw statements).
